Ingredients

Potatoes (medium sized) - 3 (Boiled)
Onion - 1 (sliced)
Green chilies - 2 (finely chopped)
Oil - 2 tbsp


Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Pinch of asafoetida
Curry leaves - 5-6
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Lime juice - 1/2 tsp
Sugar - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnishing

Procedure

  • Peel off the skin of boiled potatoes and cut into medium sized cubes. Keep them aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, pinch of asafoetida and curry leaves. Let them crackle. Add sliced onion and saute till translucent. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste.
  • Add potato cubes and mix well. Cover the pan and let it cook for 4-5 minutes. Stir in between. Finally, add sugar, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Mix well and again cook it for a minute. Serve hot with chapati or puri.
